    Can I come back to the faire if I leave it?

    Yes, when you buy a pass, you are buying it for the whole day. In and out privileges are included.

    Can I get married at the faire?

    Yes, arrangements will be needed for the ceremony, and all wedding party members will need to be in costume for the wedding to take place on the faire grounds during the faire. Whether it's a fairytale come true or a peasant wedding, we will make it an authentic event for you. A wedding feast will be a part of the package provided by Serenitea Catering who specializes in theme menus for all your guests.

    How much should I bring?

    That is really up to what you would like to do while you are at the faire. If you want to sight see then bring enough to cover the entrance fee and a little something to eat from one of our many vendors, if you want to take something home with you like a trinket or maybe a new addition to your wardrobe, then factor accordingly, as many of our vendors take Mistress VISA and Master Card.

    Do you have toilets and places to wash our hands?

    Yes, we will be equipped with port-o-potties and portable sinks, as well as have available hand sanitizers. Hygiene is very important to the people of the faire.

    Can I bring a weapon?

    Yes, you can bring a sheathed sword or bow and arrow set, as long as the weapon is peace bonded, and used only for faire approved demonstrations and activities. Guns are not permitted inside the faire at any time unless carried by law enforcement.

    How long are you open?

    We run our village from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, for our vendors 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.

    Can I came over night?

    There are camping grounds available close by.

    Can I help?

    We are always interested in people interested in culture 18 years or older to volunteer in the many roles that we have at the faire.

    What happens if I lose something at the faire?

    We have a lost and found if someone is kind enough to turn in a lost item.

    Is there really going to be a photographer there? Can I bring my camera?

    Yes, he or she will be roaming the faire taking pictures for promotional purposes, and a studio will be available for those who would like to get there period costumes immortalized. The photographer will be using professional grade equipment to capture your experience at the faire. We ask that you keep your camera at home. It is a high theft item, and the faire will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

    Will poor public displays of behavior be handled?

    Yes, we will ask any person harassing a vendor or faire attendee to leave the faire if they are threatening, touching without permission, continual use of foul language, drug use or drunkenness be removed from the faire by one of our employees or a member of local law enforcement.

    Can my children roam free?

    No, if they are not old enough to legally baby sit on their own, they can not go around on their own without a parent or adult. Parents please keep your families close for their own safety.

    What happens if there is an emergency at the faire?

    We have access to medical attention if need be.

    What kinds of animals?

    Rabbits, horses, goats, animals of that nature will be at the faire for you to pet or watch.

    Can I do battle at the faire?

    If you are 18 years or older, and sign a waver to participate in reenactments, you can battle at the faire. We have general guidelines for all participants to follow like no head or groan shots, and no one is allowed to battle on the faire grounds without signing a waver.

    Will there be alcohol on the faire grounds?

    Yes, although it will be sectioned off just like a bar where wine, beer, mead, and assorted spirits will be enjoyed by persons over the age of 21 only. Anyone buying liquor for anyone under the age of 21 will be reported the local authorities and banned for life from the faire.

    What activities will there be for the kids?

    Puppet shows, jugglers, magicians, singers, battles to watch, belly dancers, animals, vendors, food, contests, games, catapults, and history lessons reenacted by our knowledgeable actors about the eras that create the faire.

    What kind of food will be there?

    Although turkey is a New World food and was not available during the eras, it is more palatable than some of the wild and domesticated games that were such as goose, peacock, and crane, we will be selling both smoked and herb roasted giant turkey legs, as well as assorted Old World dishes and soups, desserts, appetizers, drinks, and ales.

    Is there really going to be a catapult?

    Oh yes, and we will be happily flinging things for contests and amusement.

    Can I be a vendor?

    Yes, email us at familyfriendlyfaire@yahoo.com for a vendor's packet and application. All vendors must be in costume and character to participate. Only vendors with current UBI numbers will be considered for the faire. All taxes are the responsibility of the vendor.
